When I've prepared for my spring breaks in the past, I've thought of the thousands of ways to relax and get things done, and marveled over the amount of time I'd have to do as I please. In my role as a mommy - what a change! I love having the time off from thinking about work (most of the time), but it is completely busy even before I planned anything - from just being a parent to getting things done around the house when Grayson is napping. I do have to admit that I miss my free time- though being a parent to such a fun child is completely worth it.
Grayson continues to improve after surgery - we've had a few bumps, some throwing up (that has to be the toughest thing to deal with, as we couldn't help him understand what was happening), and a little fever, but we've checked in with the powers that be, and all of this is "normal". He is much more himself today - he is, in fact, destroying the living room with the boxes of clothing I've brought up from the basement at this moment. The pics here, by the way, are from his "shoot" we did (post-injury - note the Band-Aid) at the Como Conservatory.
