Graysonism
On Friday morning, while on the way to work and daycare, Grayson asked me if the Easter Bunny was coming soon. We haven't discussed this topic this year, so I'm assuming this was a daycare conversation. We talked about it for a bit, and Grayson informed me that Easter was all about hunting for chocolate Easter eggs. I was feeling a bit bad about the real meaning of Easter, so I brought it up with him. I said that Easter was also about God and Jesus. His reply: "No, Easter is about the chocolate eggs, Mommy." Hmmm..another approach...I said, "Honey, God did wonderful things to make life better for us so we could go to Heaven some day." He replied, "Is it about His disciples, Mommy?" I sat there with my mouth open, smiled, and answered, "Yes." Wow - that's all I can say about how much kids pay attention to each day.
