Goose Eggs and Growing Spots

The Schmidt family (well, at least myself and Grayson) have been quite the contributors to the medical profession this last week. Last Friday, as I mentioned earlier, I believe, I spent a "langorous" morning in an ER bed, trying to figure out some possible bladder condition (yet to be determined as the cause). On Monday, I was once again an ER guest, when after playing outside with the kiddo and later Daddy for over an hour, I broke out in hives all over, and then my tongue and throat began to swell. Needless to say, it was an anxious ride to the hospital, but after many hours, I came home with a pocket full of drugs, and orders to see an allergy specialist. Such is life, though.

Our doctor visits don't stop though - enter Grayson. Tonight, just before dinner, Grayson and I were sitting at our granite-topped kitchen table looking at the computer and singing "BINGO". He turned to look at me and sign that he was hungry, and then he turned forward and suddenly smashed his forehead into the ledge of the table - a feat I am not sure how he accomplished. A GIGANTIC goose egg suddenly appeared, amongst screaming, and developed quickly. I tried to stay calm, called the doctor, and off we went to get checked for a concussion. He is fine, though, and now we know the steps to follow when worried about a possible concussion. Another parenting lesson learned. Here's a lovely pic of his head...
