In the Pits
The Schmidts were on a mission this weekend - for toys. When I step back and think about it, we pretty much spent the entire weekend on a hunt for the best gadgets for the little guy. We went to an insane "garage sale" at a local elementary school this weekend, where we scored big on some great toys (I cannot even begin to describe the size of the line or the madness inside as thrifty moms, dads, and grandparents scoured the landscape for goods). We then took Grayson to Eagle's Nest, where he had a blast in the ball pit. Unfortunately, I only shared in about 2 minutes of fun, for shortly after we got into the toddler area, I had another hive attack - off to the store for Benadryl and a frantic call to the triage, and I was taken care of...for now. I hopefully can find out what is going on soon, as I don't (and can't) trust anything I come into contact with - it is totally frustrating and frightening!!!!
Anyway, enough ranting on myself (I could go on about my hives on Sunday, but I won't)...we celebrated Grandpa Bob's birthday with dinner and fun on Saturday night, and then spent our day Sunday making our own ball pit, running around looking at all the yard projects we need to do, and looking at set after set of play equipment for Grayson - it sounds like fun, but I think we're more confused than ever. We did enjoy Grayson's reaction to his new pool-of-fun (see the pic), and his wheelbarrow and sand toys - some day we'll get to be outside with them!
